Embroidery digitizing · New York, NY

You want your logo to stitch clean. Here’s how.

Send us the artwork you already have — a PDF, a screenshot, a napkin sketch. We rebuild it as a stitch file your decorator can run on the first try, sew a proof, and hand you the folder: files, thread chart, placement sheet. Billed by invoice, per project.

Prefer to talk? Ring (917) 553-9125 and we’ll find a time that suits you.

  • Files in two business days
  • Proof sewn on your fabric
  • Invoiced per project

Deliverables

Everything your decorator will ask for, already in the folder.

Most clients arrive with a logo and a deadline. We take the middle off your plate: the drawing, the stitching decisions, the paperwork your production team would otherwise chase you for.

Read the full service menu

Your decorator will open the folder once, find what they need where they expect it, and press start. That is the whole job. A logo digitized properly has its underlay sized to the fabric, its small type rebuilt as narrow satin columns, and its direction of stitch chosen so light plays across it the way you drew it.

01

Machine-ready stitch files

DST, PES, EXP, JEF — whichever your decorator’s machine reads, built with pull compensation and underlay matched to the garment.

02

A photographed stitch-out

We sew the design, lay a ruler beside it, and send you the picture before the file is called final.

03

Cleaned-up vector artwork

Your logo redrawn as tidy AI, SVG and PDF so the screen-print and the thread agree on shape and colour.

04

A thread chart

Madeira or Isacord numbers matched to your Pantones, with the nearest honest substitute noted where thread can’t reach.

05

Placement & size sheet

Left chest, cap front, sleeve, back yoke — dimensions, stitch counts and the garment each file was tuned for.

06

Mockups for approvals

Flat mockups sized for an approval email, a team vote, or your online store.

Before the first call

Bring this. Or bring what you have.

  • Your logo in its best format — vector (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG) if you have it, the largest PNG if you don’t.
  • Pantone or hex values, if your brand guide names them.
  • The garment: style, fabric, colour. A link to the blank is perfect.
  • Where it sits and how wide — left chest at 3.5 in., cap front at 2 in., sleeve, back yoke.
  • Quantity, and the date it needs to be on someone’s back.

Missing something? We’ll fill the gaps in with you on the call.

A note from the studio

Send the file exactly as it is — a screenshot is fine. We’ll take it from there.

Proof you can hold

Every file is sewn once before you see it.

A screen can’t tell you whether a letter will fill in. Thread can. Here are a few things the hoop has taught us, shown the way we’d show them to you.

Plate 03 — Left chest, 3.25 in., on piqué.

Small lettering

Under 5 mm, letters fill in.

We rebuild tiny type as narrow satin columns with extra underlay, so the counters of an “e” or an “a” stay open on the garment.

Fabric

A polo and a cap are two different files.

A piqué polo wants a lighter fill and a topping film. A structured cap wants heavier underlay and push compensation. Same logo, two builds.

stitches at 3.25 in. wide, noted on the placement sheet beside the fabric it was tuned for.

Gradients

Thread has no gradient. We translate.

A fade becomes three or four blended steps, or a clean two-tone. We show you both in the proof and you choose.

Fabrics we proof on

  • Piqué
  • Cap twill
  • Fleece
  • Canvas tote
  • Performance knit
  • Rib beanie
  • Denim

Not on the list? Send us a swatch and we’ll sew on it.

Stitch choice

Run, satin or fill — by shape, not habit.

Borders, columns and large areas each get the stitch that behaves best at that size.

Seeing is deciding

Want to hold a stitch-out before you commit to anything? Tell us the fabric and we’ll quote the proof.

04Worries, answered firstThe usual questions

Considered in advance

The questions we’d ask in your place.

Embroidery is an unfamiliar trade for most brands. Here’s what clients tend to wonder, with the answer where you’d look for it.

Q.01

Why not run my PNG through auto-digitizing software?

You can. It will often pucker on a polo and clog small type. A pixel has no idea what thread does; a digitizer does — stitch direction, underlay, compensation, and where to stop.

RunSatinFill
Q.02

Our logo has a gradient and a tiny tagline.

Most do. The gradient becomes a few blended steps or a clean two-tone, and the tagline is rebuilt or set larger. You’ll see both options on the proof.

Q.03

Do you work with our decorator?

Yes. We ask which machine and format they run, then send exactly that.

Q.04

What if the stitch-out looks off?

Tell us what you see. We adjust and re-sew within your included rounds.

Q.05

How soon can we have files?

Two business days from approved artwork, or next business day for $35. Larger team programmes get a timeline on the call, before you agree to anything.

Q.06

Names and numbers?

A set of up to twelve is $24.

Q.07

Where are you?

A New York studio on Columbus Ave. Visits by appointment; the rest travels by email and courier.

Our approach

A logo that looks right on a screen and a logo that looks right in thread are two different drawings. We draw the second one.
